Marco Silva may soon face the challenge of losing another key player, as Juventus is reportedly eyeing a move for a Fulham defender when the transfer window opens in 2025. Following the summer departure of Joao Palhinha, the Cottagers have managed to maintain a solid mid-table position in the Premier League, but they are eager to avoid losing more star players.
In addition to potential outgoings, Silva is also looking to strengthen his squad, with Fulham linked to central defender Joyskim Dawa as they seek to enhance their backline. The 6-foot-4 defender has reportedly been contacted by Fulham as they prepare to compete with Everton and Leeds United for his signature.
Juventus’ interest in Joachim Andersen, according to Serie A reporter Giovanni Albanese, reflects the defender’s impressive start at Fulham since joining this summer. Losing Andersen, who is earning £90,000 per week, would be a significant blow, echoing the frustration of Palhinha’s exit.
Andersen’s seamless adaptation to life at Fulham is not surprising, given his prior success on loan at Craven Cottage and his solid performances at Crystal Palace. Former Palace manager Roy Hodgson praised him as “outstanding,” noting his dominance in aerial duels and his leadership on the pitch.
A move to a prestigious club like Juventus could be a fitting next step for Andersen after his strong performances in the Premier League. However, Silva will be keenly aware of Andersen’s importance to the team as they prepare for their upcoming west London derby against Brentford, with the defender having started six of nine matches this season.
