JUST IN: Buffalo Bills Star Josh Allen set to Win MVP vs. Dolphins, Says Analyst

Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, is favored to win the NFL MVP award by 20,000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. This is a significant lead for Jackson, who was without a clear favorite for the majority of the season. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, though, isn’t quite sure the race is finished just yet. Orlovsky said on social media on Friday that he thinks Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, who is now favored to win the award at +3000, can at least put himself back in the running with a strong performance against the Miami Dolphins.

“If Josh Allen accounts for 4+ touchdowns Sunday and Bills win, he will have 46 touchdowns 4800+ yards,” Orlovsky stated on X. “The race for voters between him and Lamar is gonna be fascinating.” In the NFL regular season finale against the Dolphins on Sunday night, the Bills have a tremendous opportunity to win the AFC East title right under the Dolphins’ nose. Allen could be able to influence some votes if he can make an impact that lasts.

If the odds weren’t a clear enough indicator, Allen is facing a steep uphill battle. Even though Jackson has more overall yards and touchdowns than him, the Ravens star has made a lot fewer mistakes this year. Allen is second in the league with 16 interceptions thrown  (second-most in the league).

The Bills haven’t even guaranteed a postseason spot yet, either. Buffalo will miss out on postseason football for the first time since Allen’s debut season in 2018 if they lose to the Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars win. Though the odds now seem too big to overcome, Allen could theoretically make the race more competitive with a strong showing on Sunday, especially with Jackson resting for the playoffs.
