Jose Mourinho was disappointed with former Rangers star Ryan Kent’s performance in Fenerbahce’s Champions League qualifier against Lugano.
Ryan Kent, who joined Fenerbahce after his contract with Rangers ended, struggled to make an impact last season in Turkey. This season, he aimed to turn things around under the management of Jose Mourinho, who included him in the starting lineup for Fenerbahce’s Champions League qualifier against Lugano.
However, Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu reported that Mourinho was dissatisfied with Kent’s performance, leading to his substitution in the 68th minute. Despite Mourinho’s intention to give Kent an opportunity, it seems he failed to capitalize on it.
With Fenerbahce winning the first leg 4-3 and the second leg coming up in Turkey, Mourinho’s discontent with Kent suggests that the winger may not feature in the return match. The club will now consider any offers for Kent during the current transfer window.
