Despite a relatively quiet summer transfer window for Inter, the Nerazzurri still found themselves caught up in some last-minute drama on deadline day.
After overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and finalizing the last details, Inter successfully secured the signing of promising Argentine defender Tomas Palacios, with the club officially announcing his arrival yesterday.
According to Luca Bendoni, despite Palacios, 21, initially being on loan at Talleres from Independente Rivadavia, Inter managed to negotiate a termination of the loan agreement. They acquired him for €6.5 million, with potential bonuses bringing the total up to €11 million. The young defender has signed a five-year contract, earning €700,000 per season.
Meanwhile, despite Inter’s efforts to offload Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa over the summer, no concrete offers materialized. Despite interest from several clubs, both forwards will remain with Inter and will be reintegrated into the squad.
