Inter Poised to Pursue Sought-After Barcelona Outcast

Vitor Roque has been seeking more playing time and is prepared to leave Barcelona this summer, at least temporarily. Inter Milan might be interested in taking him on loan. The young talent has had limited opportunities in Catalunya and could consider an exit following Xavi’s confirmation as manager, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter Milan has scouted Roque several times while monitoring his former Athletic Paranaense teammate Bento, their primary goalkeeping target. Despite Barcelona’s €40M investment plus significant add-ons, Roque has made just 13 appearances, totaling 310 minutes.

Inter sees Vitor Roque as an alternative to Albert Gudmundsson. While they highly regard the Genoa star, his €30M price tag poses a challenge, and other clubs are also in pursuit.

Roque, 19, moved to Spain in January after two seasons with Athletic Paranaense, where he scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists. He debuted for Brazil in March and has scored twice in La Liga.

Our Take on Inter and Vitor Roque
Roque possesses the qualities Inter Milan is seeking, and his agent has expressed dissatisfaction with his current situation. However, signing a promising player on loan with little chance of a permanent transfer may not be the most attractive option for Inter.
