Inter Milan’s China tour likely cancelled after Suning Group departure.

Inter Milan are unlikely to proceed with their planned preseason tour of China this summer after the departure of their former owners, the Suning Group.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport and FCInterNews.it, Inter Milan’s preseason tour of China is unlikely to proceed following the recent takeover by Oaktree Capital from the Chinese conglomerate Suning.

President Steven Zhang lost control of Inter after failing to meet repayment obligations to Oaktree, who had provided a loan to support the club’s operations. This shift in ownership could significantly impact the Serie A champions’ summer plans.

Inter had been scheduled to participate in a series of friendlies in China at the end of July, alongside Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it is now expected that all three teams will withdraw. Both Atletico and PSG reportedly have serious concerns about the feasibility of the mini-tournament due to the organizers’ failure to pay outstanding fees for participation.
