Inter Milan plans to maintain defensive stability but aims to recruit Brazilian goalkeeper.

Inter Milan intends to retain its defensive lineup for another season, with Bento still on the club’s radar as a potential signing.

In recent months, there have been numerous reports linking Inter Milan with various defenders, including Atletico Madrid’s Mario Hermoso and Italy’s Alessandro Buongiorno, who are both approaching the end of their contracts.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inter’s management has decided to postpone their recruitment plans for another year. Head coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly satisfied with his current defensive lineup and intends to keep it unchanged.

Inzaghi, who is 48 years old, is keen on retaining the department intact, which includes veterans Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij. Despite Acerbi being involved in controversy, he was cleared of racial abuse allegations, allowing him to continue playing a crucial role in Inzaghi’s defensive setup.

Inter Milan plans to keep their current defensive lineup unchanged while also considering the addition of Bento to the squad.

Regarding de Vrij, he has managed to overcome a challenging period and reaffirm his status as a dependable defender.

Both experienced players have contracts extending until 2025, and it is anticipated that they will remain with the club at least until then.

In other news, Inter may seek to acquire a goalkeeper, considering Emil Audero’s likely return to Sampdoria. Although Inter has the option to retain the Italian goalkeeper, it is improbable that they will exercise it.

Hence, the Serie A champions are eyeing Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento as a potential addition to their squad.

Inter has been monitoring the 24-year-old since last season, and his recent international debut for Brazil has further enhanced his reputation.

Initially, Bento would serve as a backup to Yann Sommer before eventually assuming the starting role from the Swiss veteran.
