Inter Milan is reportedly considering a move to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus this summer, instead of waiting to acquire him as a free agent next year. The Italian winger’s future at Juventus has become uncertain, with the club seemingly ready to part ways with him.
According to La Repubblica (via Calciomercato), Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are renowned for securing high-profile free transfers, as shown by recent signings Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski. Although Chiesa’s contract with Juventus runs until June 2025, Inter has already initiated contact with his agent, Fali Ramadani, to explore a potential transfer.
Chiesa’s absence from Juventus’ recent friendly against Brest and comments from new coach Thiago Motta have intensified speculation about his departure. This situation could potentially lead Juventus to lower their asking price for the 26-year-old.
Inter is closely monitoring Chiesa’s situation, with manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly interested in the player. The club is contemplating making a move in the coming weeks, particularly if Juventus reduces their initial demand of €20-25 million for Chiesa’s transfer.
However, for an immediate transfer to happen, certain conditions must be met. While Inter currently considers its attacking lineup complete, the potential departure of either Martin Satriano or Joaquin Correa, following Valentin Carboni’s move to Marseille, could create space for Chiesa’s arrival.
