Inter Milan eyeing a Bosman move for highly-rated Spezia and Italy U-21 defender as his contract nears expiration.

Serie A champions Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on rising Spezia defender Nicolo Bertola as a potential target.

According to Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, Inter Milan are eyeing a summer move for Spezia’s talented young center-back Nicolo Bertola.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is determined to refresh his aging squad, particularly in defense. With veteran defenders Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi nearing the twilight of their careers, the club is exploring new options to strengthen the backline.

Bertola has risen to prominence since his debut for Spezia in December 2021, and after a successful loan at Montevarchi Calcio Aquila, he has secured a starting role at his parent club.

However, his current contract expires at the end of the season, and with Spezia unable to offer competitive terms—reportedly only €260,000 a year with a €4.5 million release clause—Bertola is likely to seek a move. Given his potential and affordable contract, Inter Milan may soon make a formal offer.
