Coach Simone Inzaghi is considering extending his contract with Inter Milan ahead of the team’s preseason training camp.
According to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Coach Simone Inzaghi is set to sign a contract extension with Inter Milan until June 2026.
Currently, Inzaghi’s contract with Inter expires next June, having signed his last extension with the club just last summer. However, Inter is keen to secure a further one-year extension for the 48-year-old this summer, following a similar approach taken in previous years since his arrival from Lazio in 2021, initially on a two-year deal.
Inzaghi had hoped for an extension until June 2027, but Inter has proposed another one-year deal, which the coach is likely to accept, according to reports from Corriere. The club aims to finalize the new contract by July 13th, when the team begins preseason training ahead of the upcoming season as reigning Italian champions.
Inzaghi aims to focus fully on preseason preparations, despite not having a full squad available initially due to players still on holiday or participating in international tournaments like the Copa America and Euros. Inter intends to resolve contract negotiations swiftly to minimize distractions as Inzaghi starts his preseason work.
