The agent of Mehdi Taremi, set to join Inter Milan, declares his client’s affection for the club has already blossomed.
The 31-year-old striker currently holds an expiring contract with Porto, signaling his departure from the Portuguese club at the season’s end. Yet, there’s little mystery surrounding Mehdi Taremi’s future as he has already secured an agreement to join Inter Milan as a free agent. Alongside Piotr Zielinski, Taremi will bolster Simone Inzaghi’s squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Reports from FcInter1908 indicate that Taremi’s agent, Pastorello, shared a photo on Instagram showing himself with the striker in Milan. The caption read: “He’s already in love with Milan,” although the post was swiftly deleted afterward.
Despite the anticipation surrounding his move to Milan, Taremi remains focused on his current commitments with Porto. As the team prepares for the Portuguese Cup final against Sporting Lisbon, Taremi aims to conclude his tenure with Porto on a positive note.
Throughout the season, Taremi has been a significant contributor for Porto, registering 10 goals and seven assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. However, his playing time has dwindled in recent months following the confirmation of his transfer to Inter during the mid-season window.
Taremi’s impending arrival at Inter will fortify their attacking options, complementing the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Marko Arnautovic. Meanwhile, the potential departure of Alexis Sanchez, whose contract expires at the end of the season, raises questions about additional reinforcements in the striker department for Inter.
