England U21s interim coach Ben Futcher confirmed that Blues forward Omari Hutchinson rejoined Town on Saturday.
Omari Hutchinson joined the England U21s squad for their trip to Cadiz, featuring in Friday’s 0-0 friendly against Spain. However, he returned to Portman Road on Saturday, ahead of the U21s’ 1-1 draw with the Netherlands, due to a minor knock. The issue isn’t expected to be a concern for Ipswich Town as they prepare for Sunday’s match against Manchester United.
Interim coach Ben Futcher shed light on the decision following the game, stating, “We’ve been in communication with Ipswich, and I spoke to Omari. We felt the best course of action was for him to return. He wanted to stay longer, but we decided this was the right move. Hopefully, Omari will be fine.”
Hutchinson earned his first England U21 cap last month, adding to his international experience after previously playing in two senior friendlies for Jamaica.
