How to watch Jeral Perez and Thayron Liranzo, two Dodgers prospects, play in the MLB Futures Game

Dodgers prospects will be featured on the National League roster at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday afternoon. The NL will face American League prospects in a seven-inning game. After being available for two years on the streaming service Peacock, the Futures Game returns to cable television this year. Melanie Newman will provide the play-by-play commentary on MLB Network (1 p.m. PT), with analysts Mark DeRosa and Jonathan Mayo, and reporter Sande Charles. The broadcast will also be available on MLB.tv, MLB.com, and the MLB App. Representing the Dodgers are Thayron Liranzo, a catcher for High-A Great Lakes, and Jeral Perez, an infielder for Low-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Liranzo led the California League last season with 24 home runs and a .562 slugging percentage. This year, the 21-year-old switch-hitter is batting .221/.351/.367 with 14 doubles, seven home runs, and a 109 wRC+ in High-A. He has played 40 games as a catcher, 22 at first base, and six as a designated hitter this season. Perez is batting .277/.394/.441 with 15 doubles, nine home runs, and a 128 wRC+ with the Quakes. Primarily a second baseman, he has also started at shortstop, third base, and designated hitter. Perez is the sixth-youngest player on the National League roster and will turn 20 on November 6.

The Futures Game managers are Rangers legends who also played for the Dodgers: Adrián Beltré leads the AL team, and Michael Young manages the NL team. The game will be televised on MLB Network at 1 p.m. PT.
