As per his promise, Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković provided the squad with a large pizza after practice on Thursday afternoon. Rajaković had not exactly intended for the team meal, which he had previously promised to change to a pizza party if the squad won three straight games. However, it seems like the team’s tenacity has prevailed.
After the team’s triumph over the Indiana Pacers on Monday, Immanuel Quickley came to Instagram to demand pizza. He later revealed on Snapchat that the team did, in fact, receive their pizza from the OVO Athletic Centre.
When Rajaković’s pact was revealed by Pascal Siakam at a team practice, the first promise was made over three months ago. It was reported that Rajaković paid for a team dinner that inexplicably turned into a pizza party.
The initial promise was made nearly three months ago when Pascal Siakam revealed Rajaković’s deal at a team practice. It was said to be a team dinner on Rajaković’s dime that somehow became a pizza party.

Just Pizza
It’s still unclear where the “pizza party” came from, but Rajaković told reporters in Indiana that his squad is so modest that they asked for pizza rather than something fancier.
During his post-game speech to the team following Toronto’s third straight victory, Rajaković said he’d pay for something more high-end than pizza. That was until Quickley posted a series of photos on Instagram with the caption “I believe I was promised pizza.” Gradey Dick shared a series of photos with the pizza emoji in his caption.
Rajaković kept his word to the assembled media as well, hooking up those in attendance Thursday with pizza from Makers Pizza.
Toronto did lose Wednesday night to the Dallas Mavericks to snap the winning streak but the loss didn’t seem to put a damper on the team’s festivities.
