George Pickens was fined after being penalized for unsportsmanlike behavior against the Bengals

Pickens informed the Bengals that he had smoked them.
The Cincinnati Bengals are practicing for this weekend’s game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs, but some information on their defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend leaked out today.

Tom Pelissero reports that George Pickens was fined by the NFL for acting in an unsportsmanlike manner after scoring a touchdown in the third quarter. As he entered the end zone, he gave a high five and gestured back at Jordan Battle. The play was not flagged.
Last week, Pickens had a huge game against the Bengals’ defense. He had four catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns at the end of the game.

Contrary to popular belief, the NFL has fined $16,391 in total.

If the Bengals can close the season with two victories, they will probably make the playoffs for the third consecutive year, right in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race.

This seems to be the new standard set by the league, although it’s still kind of a wild fine for Pickens.
