Former Arsenal star EXILED from Premier League club and wipes them from social media

A former Arsenal player who departed the Emirates just last summer has already been sidelined by his new club and has erased nearly all mentions of them from his Instagram account.

Rob Holding has erased nearly all mentions of Crystal Palace from his Instagram after being sidelined by the club.

Holding, who joined Palace from Arsenal last year, has made just one appearance for the team—a 3-0 Carabao Cup third-round defeat to Manchester United. The 28-year-old was on the bench last month during Palace’s 2-0 loss to West Ham but was left out of the squad for their subsequent trip to Chelsea.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner clarified that Holding isn’t injured but is training separately from the squad. However, Glasner chose not to elaborate further. “Rob is training individually at the moment,” Glasner stated. “We will talk together—he knows the reason. But it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public.”

Holding’s position at Palace has slipped further this summer following the arrivals of Chadi Riad, Maxence Lacroix, and Trevoh Chalobah. In response, the former Arsenal defender has unfollowed the club on Instagram and deleted almost all posts referencing them.

Despite Palace’s winless start to the season, Glasner remains optimistic after earning their first point with a draw against Chelsea before the international break. “An absolutely positive point with all the circumstances, coming here after two defeats in the Premier League,” he said.

He added, “Just 14 players from our squad were available because of injuries or new players who couldn’t play today, and there were four from the Under-21s. Coming here, being one goal down at half-time was deserved, to be honest. In the second half, we did it much better. We were in very good shape so they didn’t find space…overall we did a really great job.”
