FIA Secures Key Hire from Williams to Boost Digital Capabilities
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has made a significant appointment, recruiting Lee Fedden from the Williams F1 team as its new digital director. Fedden brings nearly two decades of experience in digital strategy and transformation to the role.
Fedden’s primary focus will be on advancing the FIA’s digital initiatives, including data integration, analytics, and digital solutions. He will play a crucial role in driving the organization’s digital transformation forward.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem welcomed Fedden to the team, stating, “We are thrilled to have someone of Lee’s caliber join our organization. His expertise will be invaluable in streamlining our digital operations and enhancing our engagement with stakeholders.”

This appointment comes at a time when the FIA has experienced several high-profile departures, including the recent exit of F1 race director Niels Wittich.
