Carter left the Raptors to play for the New Jersey Nets and Orlando Magic, where he spent the most of his playing career. After that, the former great player for the Raptors played as a journeyman for the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and Atlanta Hawks for the remainder of his career.
Supporters Want the Toronto Raptors to make Vince Carter Logo Tribute Permanent
The Raptors unveiled a logo of their mascot in a position evoking the All-Star’s famous dunk in response to the news that Carter would soon be inducted into the Hall of Fame. As evidenced by a tweet by one fan, many supporters have asked the team to make this tribute to Toronto’s permanent logo.
Vince Carter is finally receiving the recognition he deserves by being inducted into the Hall of Fame, many years after he finished playing. In contrast, the Toronto Raptors have decided to celebrate its All-Star with a tribute logo, a decision that is undoubtedly winning over supporters.
Carter hung up his jersey as an Atlanta Hawks player in 2020 after serving as the league’s longest-serving player with 22 NBA seasons. However, the All-Star guard first earned his name as a player with the Toronto Raptors from 1998 to 2004 before going on to play for other teams.
Because of his enthusiasm and skill, the Raptors were made relevant throughout his tenure. Carter scored 23.4 points on average throughout that run. He’s also fourth in franchise history with a total of 9,420 points, eighth when it comes to assists by making 1,553 of them, and ninth in rebounds after making 2,091.

“Can we lobby to keep this the raptors alt logo?” WittyCollector asked.
“They should honestly keep this forever,” Daniel A Saraiva Jr. said.
“This should have been done 20 years ago!” Ryan Totka tweeted.
“Way better than the current one, I bet if they had that logo in 2019 Kawhi would’ve stayed,” Juan Suarez explained.
It’s nearly hard to dislike the way the logo looks and its background. Carter is recognized by many fans as one of the best dunkers in the NBA, and the incident that served as the basis for the logo is still a thrilling memory.
Later this year, on August 17, the Raptors star will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Other former NBA players including Walter Davis, Michael Cooper, and Chauncey Billups will be joining Carter.
