Fabrizio Romano says an ‘unbelievable’ player wants out after Nottingham Forest links.

Nottingham Forest, one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs, is still pushing for more deals this summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo must be thrilled with how Forest’s summer has unfolded both on and off the pitch. The Reds had a successful pre-season, capping it off with an exciting 4-3 victory in Greece.

Evangelos Marinakis has also been active in the transfer market, bringing six new players to the City Ground. Yet, one of their remaining targets seems to be eyeing a move elsewhere in the final weeks of the window.

Negotiations are ongoing for Ramon Sosa to join Forest, with the player even rebelling against Talleres training to push for the transfer. Additionally, Fabrizio Romano has revealed another Forest target who is eager to leave his current club before the window closes.

On Wednesday, Romano shared that Sam Johnstone is looking to move on from Crystal Palace this summer.

Despite already signing Carlos Miguel, Forest has shown interest in Johnstone, though Southampton, Leicester City, and Wolves are also monitoring the situation.

Johnstone’s future at Selhurst Park seems uncertain, especially after Palace stripped him of the number one shirt, giving it to Dean Henderson instead. Once praised as “unbelievable” by Gary Lineker, Johnstone faced challenges last season, making only 20 Premier League appearances due to injury.

Valued at around £10 million, Forest hopes that if Johnstone joins, he’ll arrive at the City Ground with a point to prove to his former club.
