Ex-Sunderland player delivers next manager verdict on Roy Keane, Scott Parker and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Former Sunderland player Brian Deane has given his assessment of three possible head coach prospects.
Three possible contenders for the position of head coach at Sunderland during the summer have been evaluated by former player Brian Deane.

Michael Beale was fired earlier this year, leaving interim head coach Mike Dodds in charge. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Roy Keane, and Scott Parker have all been connected to the position since then.
“I have played against both Ole and Roy (Keane) as players and managed against Ole when I was over in Norway, and Ole has a different style to Roy clearly – you can see that with the two personalities,” Deane stated to Seven Jackpots via Online.

“Ole has accomplished a great deal in his role as manager. Although his approach may be distinct and more open to hearing from others than Roy’s, this does not imply that either is the best course of action. Both of them have played and managed in high-pressure environments, so I believe either one of them would be excellent choices. I believe that with a team like Sunderland, you need someone who will understand what it is like to be in match scenarios.
Ole and Roy both have a lot of enthusiasm, and either would be a wonderful fit for a team like Sunderland. I come from a time where you can’t achieve anything without passion, and people display passion in different ways.

When asked about Paker, Deane responded, “I believe so, because Scott had a great track record at Fulham, performed well at Bournemouth, and then things went south when they were promoted. I’m not sure if that works against him or not. Being from the North, you have to understand that, in addition to wanting to be entertained, fans want players to give it their all on the field. They want blood, sweat, and tears on the shirts. That’s the reason I believe that

It’s in Solskjaer and Keane’s DNA.”

Last Saturday in the Championship at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland was held to a scoreless draw by QPR. The team led by Mike Dodds ended a six-game losing streak in a match of few opportunities and preserved their first clean sheet since New Year’s Day. With eight games left in the season, Sunderland is now 12th in the Championship table as a result of the loss.
