Everton think £22 million might secure Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto, per Planet Sport.
According to Planet Sport on 16 June, despite Everton having a £25m bid rejected last season, the Toffees now believe they can sign Wilfried Gnonto for a smaller fee this summer.
Sean Dyche’s team isn’t the only one interested in the Italian winger, with Newcastle and Aston Villa also linked to a potential move.
Everton should sign Willy Gnonto this summer
The Toffees need a rebuild this summer. The last few seasons have been tough for the Merseyside club as they have often been dragged into relegation battles.
Last season was particularly challenging due to an eight-point deduction, which many thought would spell their demise.
However, Everton managed to stay clear of relegation, ending the season in 15th place.
Iliman Ndiaye has already been brought in to help with goals, and signing Gnonto for £22 million would be a stellar acquisition.
This becomes even more crucial if Dominic Calvert-Lewin leaves Goodison Park this summer, as reported by the Daily Mail on 16 July. Everton will need a replacement since Calvert-Lewin is a key part of their attack. Although Beto remains at the club, his poor form last season makes him too unreliable for Dyche to depend on solely.
