Everton notifies Manchester United of Jarrad Branthwaite’s sale verdict.

According to the Daily Mirror, Everton has informed Manchester United that they will not be acquiring Jarrad Branthwaite at a discounted price.

In their May 31st edition, it’s reported on page 63 that Manchester United may perceive Everton’s potential financial challenges as an opportunity to secure a bargain deal for Jarrad Branthwaite.

United currently values Branthwaite at approximately £40 million, especially as the 21-year-old aims for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man England squad for Euro 2024. However, Everton is seeking double that amount to part ways with him.

Branthwaite seems content and settled at Goodison Park, which strengthens Everton’s negotiating position in any potential transfer talks.

The transfer saga surrounding Jarrad Branthwaite could extend throughout the summer at Everton. The club is steadfast in their stance regarding his future, refusing to yield to pressure.

As the most coveted asset at Goodison Park, Branthwaite’s stellar campaign has attracted significant interest, particularly from Manchester United. However, Everton is mindful of the hefty sums paid by United for players in similar positions, notably Harry Maguire’s £80 million transfer from Leicester City in 2019.

There’s a possibility of a drawn-out saga as United recognizes Everton’s need to offload at least one star player to comply with financial regulations, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin being the latest big name linked away, as Newcastle United pursues a £25 million deal. Manager Sean Dyche faces the challenge of adjusting his squad planning accordingly amidst these uncertainties.
