Everton eye ‘outstanding’ forward who netted last season’s winning goal against them

Everton are considering a move for a new winger as Sean Dyche looks to bolster his squad with limited funds.

At present, Everton manager Dyche faces a dilemma with only two recognized wide players remaining in his squad, following the return of Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison to their parent clubs. This shortage poses a challenge, especially considering the limited funds available for squad improvement during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

In light of this situation, Everton may need to adopt a strategic approach in the transfer market, even contemplating the sale of players like Amadou Onana to generate funds. Despite this, there is an emerging interest in Fulham winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the month.

According to TBR Football, Everton is keen on offering Cordova-Reid a long-term contract, recognizing his potential to address the team’s lack of options on the wing. The Jamaican international has been in discussions with Fulham, but Dyche is prepared to present an enticing offer to secure his services.

Cordova-Reid’s impressive performances for Fulham this season, including a winning goal against Everton in August, have garnered attention not only from Everton but also from clubs abroad, such as those in the MLS. However, it appears likely that he will remain in England for the upcoming season.

While Cordova-Reid is a target, Everton’s pursuit of other free agents, such as Lazio’s Daichi Kamada, has hit a setback, with the player opting to join Crystal Palace. Amidst these developments, the potential sale of Amadou Onana remains on the table, with interest from clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United. However, it’s unlikely that Everton would entertain offers for key players like Jarrad Branthwaite, who has become integral to Dyche’s plans.
