HITC reports that both Everton and Nottingham Forest are vying to secure the signature of Brest forward Karamoko Dembele.
According to Graeme Bailey’s report on 19 March, Everton and Nottingham Forest, both affected by Premier League points deductions, are expressing interest in 21-year-old attacker Karamoko Dembele.
Dembele, who had a notable loan spell at Blackpool this season, attracting attention with his impressive performances, has garnered interest from several Premier League and Championship clubs due to his remarkable statistics, scoring six goals and providing 11 assists in League One matches, along with additional contributions in the FA Cup.
With numerous clubs expressing interest, there’s speculation that Dembele might be on the verge of realizing his potential by making a significant career move. While his future at Brest remains uncertain, the French club could be inclined to sell him if a substantial transfer fee is offered.
However, Everton’s pursuit of Dembele might be hindered by financial constraints, particularly if the ongoing takeover situation doesn’t yield positive results.
Nottingham Forest, having already faced relegation threats due to points deductions, could also face further challenges if additional penalties are imposed. Everton’s fate regarding the ongoing situation and potential repercussions will be clearer after the commission hearing next week.
Despite the off-field turmoil, both Everton and Nottingham Forest continue to evaluate potential summer targets, with Dembele emerging as a promising option.
While Everton lacks depth in central attacking midfield, acquiring Dembele could be a significant leap, albeit a challenging one considering the financial constraints the club faces. Meanwhile, the Premier League’s commitment to Everton’s impending hearing reflects their efforts to navigate a potentially challenging situation for the club.
