€20m bid anticipated as Wolves and Southampton accelerate pursuit of player

Italian media reports suggest that Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are showing interest in Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas.

Both Premier League clubs are looking to strengthen their squads this summer, and the Greek goalkeeper appears to be a potential option, though he comes with a price tag.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Southampton and Wolves could make €20m offers for Mandas. The report indicates that both English clubs are being encouraged to pursue the Lazio goalkeeper, as they are in the market for a new shot-stopper.

Southampton might consider including Carlos Alcaraz in the deal, as Lazio has shown interest in the Argentine player. Additionally, Wolves could benefit from Jorge Mendes’ connections with Lazio, potentially helping to broker a deal between the clubs.

The 22-year-old Mandas made just 12 appearances for Lazio last season and is under contract with the club until June 2028. He only joined the Rome-based club last summer for an undisclosed fee.
