Dumfries and Inter fined for offensive Theo Hernandez flag

Inter star Denzel Dumfries and his club have each accepted €4,000 fines after Dumfries held up an insulting banner depicting Milan rival Theo Hernandez as a dog during Scudetto celebrations.

Players had been advised to focus on flags and signs celebrating their own achievements rather than insulting opponents. This policy has led to several fines for players and clubs in recent months.

However, during the open-top bus parade, Dumfries held up a banner from a supporter showing himself as a video game character with Milan full-back Theo Hernandez depicted as a dog on a leash. The pair had clashed during the Scudetto decider, resulting in both being sent off.

The FIGC investigated the incident and announced that both Dumfries and Inter have accepted a plea bargain, resulting in the €4,000 fines.
