According to MLB insider Mark Feinsand, the Yankees reportedly traded for relief pitcher Jake Cousins from the White Sox on Sunday. Chicago is receiving cash considerations from New York.

In 2021, Cousins debuted in Major League Baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers. He moved to Chicago after three seasons and, as a result of the trade, is currently a player for the Yankees. Over his career, Jake Cousins hasn’t played a lot. For a short sample size, his career numbers aren’t too bad, but. At the moment, he has a 1.386 WHIP, 72 strikeouts, and a 3.08 ERA.
Jake Cousins didn’t require New York to make many sacrifices. Hence, it would be intriguing to observe his position in the bullpen. They might demote him to the minors. However, Cousins’ statistics suggest that, given the opportunity, he might be useful. However, he might stay because he comes from a White Sox minor league team.
