Adams was in New England and New Orleans for stretches of the 2021 season before settling in with the Steelers. During the course of that season, he started four of his five games; in the last two campaigns, he has started 17 of his 30 appearances.

Over the last two seasons, the 28-year-old has accumulated 50 tackles in total. He concluded the previous campaign with two tackles for loss and a forced fumble. This past season, Pro Football Focus placed him 72nd out of 130 eligible interior defenders, with the website having a strong opinion of his pass-rush abilities.

This past season, rookie Keeanu Benton jumped Adams on the depth chart. Approximately one-third of his team’s defensive snaps were being played by the seasoned player upon his comeback from a midseason leg injury. If nothing changes, Adams will probably be looking for a backup position like this in 2024.
