DeRozan keeps raising awareness of mental health issues.
DeMar DeRozan, an all-star player for the Chicago Bulls, will headline “Dinners with DeMar,” a brand-new digital series. The series, which is co-produced by Emmy Award-winning Podium Pictures, is slated to provide “genuine, unscripted, uncensored dialogues regarding mental health.”
Two All-Stars and one Hall of Famer will appear in the first season’s three episodes of the show, which will premiere on Deebo’s YouTube channel. On February 20, Deebo will speak with controversial forward Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors in the first edition.
Recall that earlier in the season, Green got into fights with Rudy Gobert and Jusuf Nurkic, which led to a lengthy suspension.
DeRozan’s next guest will be Wade in the second episode, which airs on March 5. Wade shares his thoughts on fatherhood during the discussion that takes place in Deebo’s garden. Lillard, the star player for the Milwaukee Bucks, will appear in the third and final episode of the first season.
Deebo is still advocating for mental health.
DeRozan asserts that although NBA players appear unflappable when playing, they also have hardships off the field. He aims to dispel the stigma associated with mental health in athletics and inspire people to talk freely about their personal experiences because of this.
DeRozan stated, “When you hear about players, it’s always about basketball.”
Particularly after learning about these athletes. However, they are so much more than that. They discuss everything that makes them human, including their families and dreams. That’s one of the points I believe I want to make. that NBA players aren’t all that different from the general public in terms of mental health.”
