Instead, he shared a cryptic message on Instagram: “pare de regar uma flor morta,” which translates to “Stop watering a dead flower.” This led to speculation among Newcastle fans, with some debating whether it was a comment on the club’s current situation.
One supporter remarked, “Even our own squad knows something needs to change,” while another joked, “We must have the most cryptic squad in the league!” Guimaraes will lead Newcastle against Liverpool on Wednesday night, a team they’ve lost to in their last six encounters under Howe.
