The overwhelming favorite to be chosen by the recently purchased, historic team is Jayden Daniels, but other contenders to be the first draft choice of the Josh Harris era include Drake Maye and possibly even JJ McCarthy.

This raises the question of what will happen to Sam Howell, the current starter, who had a good year overall and occasionally gave life to an otherwise boring Washington team, even though he threw as many touchdowns as interceptions in a first year starting that was similar to Jameis Winston’s 21-21 campaign.
