The Buffalo Bills’ wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was scheduled for Sunday, but the NFL on Saturday decided to move it to Monday due to the possibility of a major winter storm hitting the Buffalo area during the weekend.
If the Steelers triumph, they will face the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens the following week. The highest seed left among the winners of Saturday’s games would host the Bills if they prevail.
Over a long period, Steelers were known for holding just about any postseason records. Though they now tie the record for most Super Bowl titles won with England Patriot (6).
Since 2018, they have maintained second position for Most postseason victories in NFL history (36) behind the Patriots who have had a record 37 victories. Since the patriots didn’t qualify for their postseason, Steelers now have the opportunity to claim the All-Time record for Most Postseason victories in NFL history, provided they emerge victorious in their Wildcard game against the Bills on monday.
Steelers are not the only team looking to claim that record. The 49ers who are the top seeded team in NFC, are also sitting at 36 wins.
Pittsburgh Steelers have played 63 postseason games, 3 less than Dallas who have played a record of 66 games
