The Detroit Lions responded favorably when defensive backs coach Brian Duker was traded to the Miami Dolphins by Dan Campbell and the Lions.
Brian Duker, the defensive backs coach, was the first assistant coach hired by the Detroit Lions after the previous season. On social media, though, Lions supporters didn’t appear overly offended by it.
On February 10, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero revealed that Duker will be joining the Miami Dolphins coaching staff in 2024.
According to a source, Pelissero wrote, “The Dolphins are hiring Brian Duker as their secondary coach/pass game coordinator.” “Duker played for the Lions for the previous three seasons, most recently as Des coach.”
On X (previously Twitter), people generally agreed that Detroit won’t suffer a significant loss in losing Duker.
“It’s absurd to fire the Lions secondary,” commented Lucas Thomas.
Spliff only shared a laughing gif on social media, seemingly implying that he found it amusing that the Dolphins hired Duker.
Eight years have been spent coaching in the NFL by Duker. In Dan Campbell’s first season (2021), he joined the Lions.
