BREAKING NEWS: New York Jets’ Defensive Coordinator Will Be Head Coach For a Week

Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets, has a fantastic opportunity to observe some of the best players in the 2024 NFL Draft class up close. Ulbrich will be the head coach of the National Team at the yearly Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Known as the ultimate collegiate all-star showcase, the game will include a number of elite prospects who will train for a whole week with current NFL coaches.

Ulbrich expressed his gratitude for being selected as one of the Senior Bowl’s head coaches in the organization’s official news release. This is still one of the biggest awards that a college football player can receive, and it has featured some of the best players in NFL history. Additionally, it has regularly provided a platform for unsung heroes from both large and small schools to face the greatest.

Ulbrich will oversee a staff for the National Team that includes Shea Tierney, the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants, Daronte Jones, the defensive coordinator and pass game coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, and Phil Galiano, the assistant special teams coach for the New Orleans Saints. Ulbrich will have the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities as a head coach in addition to a special opportunity in the draft evaluation process.

In late December, Jets head coach Robert Saleh stated, “I would love to see him get one [a head coaching job].” “He was hired with the full thought that he could definitely be a head coach if given the opportunity to run with it.” The Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama is scheduled for February 3 at 1:00 PM ET.
