Bryan King has told Farhad Moshiri to step aside as Everton chairman amid his “shocking” treatment of Sean Dyche.
The ex-Goodison scout can’t believe how Dyche has been treated after everything he has done for the Toffees.
As reported by Alan Myers via X (22 July), a consortium headed by American and former LA Dodgers General Manager Kevin Malone is set to make another takeover bid at Goodison Park.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that perhaps somebody else should be overseeing negotiations.
“If this consortium are serious, and they can sort out the current financial issues, then maybe that’s a solution,” King said.
“However, I just feel that the way these things have been handled have been poor. Moshiri needs to either sort things out or step down and let someone else fix this mess.
“Everton need stability, they need assurances that they’re not going to constantly have people knocking on the door for loans.
“At the moment there is more talk off the field then on the field, and if you’re a supporter, you want to be focussed on what’s going on with the playing side of things.
“I’ve said it before, the way that Dyche has been handled in all this by Moshiri and the club, after everything he has done for Everton, has been utterly shocking.”
Farhad Moshiri set for brand-new Everton takeover talks at Goodison Park
Not one, but two exclusive takeover talks have fallen apart at Everton.
It would be difficult to blame any supporters at the club for wanting to see the back of Moshiri.
And while he would never admit to this publicly, Dyche likely has a very similar viewpoint.
It has been an absolute mess ever since the businessman arrived at the club, and if he gets the next set of takeover talks wrong once again, serious questions will need to be asked of Moshiri.
