BREAKING: Josh Allen’s 52-yard touchdown run ranked second-longest in NFL playoff history by a quarterback

Josh Allen is renowned for his ability to outpace opponents with his trick-shooting speed and rocket arm. In the first half of the AFC wild card game, the dual-threat quarterback burned the Steelers, teaching them a lesson the hard way.

After Allen shredded Pittsburgh’s defense for a nine-yard passing touchdown to Dawson Knox and a 29-yard passing touchdown to Dalton Kincaid, the Bills quickly took a 14-0 lead. Before you could blink, he was 6-for-8 with 85 yards throwing and two touchdowns, but the elite quarterback still had more to offer.

Two possessions later, Bills cornerback Kaiir Elam intercepted Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the end zone due to a costly error. With a 52-yard touchdown run that gave Buffalo a 21-0 lead and sent the crowd at snow-covered Highmark Stadium into a frenzy, Allen almost immediately made Pittsburgh pay.

The two quarterbacks possessing a rushing touchdown of more than fifty yards are the only ones in NFL playoff history. The next closest is Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, who scored a 48-yard rushing touchdown against the Titans in the 2021 AFC Wild Card round.
