In an attempt to get revenge, the Bulls take on the Celtics.

The Chicago Bulls (26-29) host the league-leading Boston Celtics on Thursday at the United Center to begin their post-All-Star break schedule. The Celtics are aiming to win their seventh straight game as they have been on an incredible winning streak this season. The Bulls, on the other hand, aim to climb the standings and guarantee a spot in the NBA Playoffs.

The crushing defeat the previous game

When Chicago last faced Boston on November 28, they were soundly defeated, 124-97. With a record of 5-14, it was the Bulls’ lowest point of the season. The Bulls have now recovered, assembling a 21-15 record. But Chicago’s problems with consistency still plague them, and veteran wingman DeMar DeRozan hopes to help address that.

“We play against some of the top teams in key games and pull off victories. I’ve always said that for us, it’s just about maintaining that consistency. “It takes all the best teams almost 48 minutes to complete a game,” DeRozan stated.

“The best teams understand how to settle in, finish games, and begin and end halves.”

campaign marred by injuries

The Bulls will head to this match versus the Celtics sans several forwards. Patrick Williams is a long way off from a return from a foot injury, while Torrey Craig will be out for two to four weeks after spraining his knee in a workout during the All-Star break.

Chicago aims to give it everything they’ve got in the final 27 games of the regular season as they contend for an Eastern Conference playoff berth.

These 27 games are really important. We need to put it all on the line. “We get the next one” is no longer the norm. DeRozan declared, “Every single one is going to be a helluva task for us.”
