It has therefore been an exciting few days. It may not be thrilling exactly, more like stressful with some highs and lows. The team as a whole initially appeared to be signing with someone else gradually. The team started to add players again one by one. I will tell myself that some of them are just veterans needed for depth and that they are here to lead the younger guys by example. Some seemed solid, and others would have been amazing four or six seasons ago. In any case, this team’s future appearance will be significantly different.
I am wondering now where the team and I should concentrate. Is it better for the team to concentrate on developing the most formidable defense in the NFL right now, or should they keep their attention on having the most dynamic offense in the league? With Wilkins’s injury in particular, the concept of the fierce defense suffered some blows. The Miami Dolphins did not have the $27.5 million a year to throw at him, but at the end of the day, he wanted his paycheck and he earned it.
Do you think the front office should keep concentrating on offensive talent as we go along, or should they now fully commit to the defense? Do you believe that the offense is already sufficiently good and should not need much more tweaking? What position do you occupy? Is it in the center somewhere?
