This season, Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings have both been sidelined due to serious knee injuries, forcing Emery to play without several key players at different times.

Here’s the latest from Bodymoor Heath:

Ezri Konsa (knee) – 0 per cent

After suffering a knee injury during February’s victory over Sheffield United, the defender will likely need several weeks to recover. Konsa was ruled out after having started all but one of the games this season across all competitions.

Diego Carlos (hamstring) – 0 per cent

Following his injury during training before the Fulham match, the Brazilian center back is anticipated to return around the middle of March. A disappointing setback for a player who had been having the time of his life with the team since joining from Sevilla in 2022.

Jhon Duran (hamstring) – 0 per cent

sustained a hamstring injury late in January during their 0-0 draw with Everton. The Colombian forward should return at some point in March, according to Unai Emery.

Boubacar Kamara (knee) – 0 per cent

After sustaining an injury in the 2-1 loss to Manchester United, Kamara had surgery on Thursday to repair his knee ligaments, which will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season. He became Villa’s third player this season to suffer an ACL injury, following Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia.
