Betano, an online sports betting platform based in Greece, has secured a two-year sponsorship deal with Premier League club Aston Villa, worth £20 million per season.
This agreement marks a significant increase from the club’s previous sponsorship deal with Chinese online gaming firm BK8. The Betano deal will see their logo featured on Villa’s new adidas kit for the 2024/25 season, following the club’s switch from Castore.
Notably, Betano holds various betting sponsorships in football, including partnerships with FIFA for the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024. While the deal with Aston Villa marks Betano’s first venture into the Premier League, the company has established naming rights in other football leagues, such as Brazil’s Copa do Brasil and Romania’s Cup.
Currently positioned fourth in the Premier League, Aston Villa is vying for a qualifying spot in the 2024-25 Champions League.
