On Saturday, April 13, at Fir Park, Josh Campbell made his 100th appearance for the Hibees by coming off the bench against Motherwell.

The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals since his July 2019 debut, pushing him above the three-figure mark.

Josh, a lifelong Hibs supporter and part of the Hibernian FC Academy, expressed his gratitude for reaching that milestone to Hibs TV.

Yes, it feels extremely special. As a fan, I never imagined that I would have participated in 100 games for the team I like. But since my family was also present in the stands that day, it’s a truly wonderful milestone.

Josh sustained an ankle injury at the end of December that kept him out of action until mid-April, which put him on the sidelines for a few months. The adaptable midfield player is now healthy and prepared to play till the end of the campaign.

“I’m excited to be back in the gym. Being injured is excruciating, but my body feels fine, and my goal is to play a few more games before the season ends.

Being on the sidelines is annoying because, although you can assist the team when you’re on the field, all you can do when you’re alone yourself at home is yell at the television. It can be a trying and emotional moment.

“It gives the sacrifices and all of the behind-the-scenes labor that extra special touch.”

My personal ambition is to play as many games as I can and contribute a few goals between now and the conclusion of the season.

“As a team, we want to finish with as many points as possible – it is as simple as that.”
