Anthony Joshua gives frosty interview at Grand Arrivals ahead of Otto Wallin fight

Anthony Joshua was tight-lipped at Big Arrivals ahead of the “day of reckoning.”
Joshua will fight Tyson Fury’s former opponent Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, and fight week started with the Big Arrival on Tuesday. After taking some photos on the red carpet, AJ joined Dev Sahn, Darren Barker and Andy Clarke for an interview, but he was a man of few words.
When initially asked if Saudi Arabia had become the home of boxing, Joshua said: “I’m not too sure, tell me.”

After some blunt answers, Joshua was asked why he seemed less chatty than the previous days and if it was because he was in battle mode, and he replied, “Exactly.”

At this point in the interview, AJ looked around, clearly not wanting to answer any more questions.
But Sahni went on to ask about Joshua’s rival Jarrell Miller, to which the Brit replied: “He’s a drug dealer” without elaborating. This suggests that Joshua was supposed to fight Miller in 2019, but the American failed a drug test and the bout was cancelled.
Miller has been feuding with Joshua ever since, and the pair even got into a fight at their hotel earlier this week.
Asked if he would ever consider a rematch with Miller, Joshua said, “No.”

“Okay,” Joshua said before making a quick exit.

Joshua is clearly focused on his match with Wallin, and that attitude is consistent with training photos he recently posted on Instagram, captioned only: “No games.”
