Another key Nottingham Forest player has been injured, following Morgan Gibbs-White.

Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White was injured during Sunday’s game at Chelsea and, in a rare turn of events, had to leave the field.

England international Morgan Gibbs-White has mostly stayed injury-free since joining Nottingham Forest in 2022, but over the weekend, he found himself in discomfort. Fortunately, recent updates suggest he could recover in time to face Crystal Palace after the international break.

However, Forest’s injury concerns are mounting, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo anxious in the coming days. Despite a solid start to the 2024/25 season, the team now faces another setback following their draw with Chelsea. Commentator Sam Matterface has already shifted his opinion about the Reds, while Ally McCoist praised Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels for his stellar performance at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately, Sels now seems to have picked up an injury as well.

The Belgian Red Devils confirmed Sels’ adductor problem, replacing him with Ortwin De Wolf in their squad. Forest hope Sels will recover in time to play against Crystal Palace, as he’s become the club’s established number one.

If Sels can’t make the Palace game, Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Miguel looks like a solid backup. He impressed in the Carabao Cup match against Newcastle in August, bouncing back from an early goal to make key saves, including a penalty in the shootout. Having two reliable goalkeepers is crucial for any Premier League team, and Forest seems to have found that balance with Sels and Miguel.

Though Sels’ injury is a setback after his standout performance against Chelsea, Forest fans can take comfort in knowing Miguel will be ready if needed.
