**Cincinnati Bengals: Ravens Thursday Night Is a ‘Must-Win’**
The highly anticipated rematch between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens is set for Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium. The first encounter of the season was nothing short of thrilling, with the Ravens staging a dramatic comeback to win 41-38 in overtime. As the Ravens (6-3) aim to sweep the season series, the Bengals (4-5) are focused on overcoming their rough start to the season, which included three losses in their opening games.
Cincinnati running back Chase Brown emphasized the importance of this matchup, labeling it a “must-win” game. After the Bengals’ convincing 41-24 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9, Brown noted the urgency of preparing for the Ravens, saying, “I’m glad we got the win, but it’s already ‘Wednesday’ today (because of the short week), so now we’ve got to get ready for Thursday.” Quarterback Joe Burrow echoed this sentiment, having thrown five touchdown passes against the Raiders, a performance reminiscent of his previous outing against Baltimore in Week 5. Despite his impressive performance, Burrow was not content, asserting that the team needs to elevate their play to position themselves for a legitimate playoff run.
“I’m not just going to ignore the bad and dwell on the great that we did today,” Burrow stated. He believes that improvement requires a critical approach, saying, “I’m going to be hard on myself. I’m going to be hard on us to execute the way that I feel like we need to.” Burrow acknowledged that while one win is significant, it won’t define their season. His focus remains on striving for perfection in every game, as he expressed, “Until that happens, what’s there to be happy about?”
Defensive end Trey Hendrickson is also gearing up for the challenge, having recorded four sacks against the Raiders and leading the NFL with 11 sacks this season. As the Bengals prepare for Thursday night, Hendrickson’s sights are firmly set on sacking Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, underscoring the team’s determination to secure a victory. “Anybody who’s rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals knows it’s a must-win game,” Hendrickson asserted, reinforcing the high stakes of the upcoming clash.
