Bacuna, 27, joined Birmingham City in January 2022 from Rangers, where he had only spent six months after moving from Huddersfield Town. During his two and a half years at St Andrew’s, Bacuna became a key player under managers Lee Bowyer, John Eustace, and their successors. However, his importance waned in the recent pre-season, as new manager Chris Davies made it clear early on that Bacuna, along with Manny Longelo, was not in his plans for the upcoming season.

Bacuna was close to securing a move to Turkish club Sivasspor, but after that deal fell through, he is now set to join the Saudi Pro League with Al-Wehda.
