Hibernian is reportedly willing to pay more than £2.5 million for Elie Youan this summer.
The Frenchman is attracting a lot of interest, and in January, approaches for the player were previously rejected. The Scotsman claims that although Hibs are willing to sell the player, they will demand more than £2.5 million in return. Following an initial loan move, the 25-year-old moved from St Gallen on a permanent contract last year. For him, they spent £700,000. A French team that wishes to remain anonymous has reportedly expressed a great deal of interest. But Youan will stay at Easter Road until Hibs gets what he’s worth. The wide attacker helped the Hibees during a challenging season by scoring 10 goals and dishing out 11 assists.
With two years left on his present deal, Hibs will have a lot of power to control where he plays next season. David Grey, the new head coach, will receive a massive £1 million in support this summer. The sale of Youan may increase those monies and make it easier to move forward with plans for additional hiring. Greg Taylor, a defender for Celtic, has voiced his desire that he can play for Scotland in the German final of the Euro 2024, capping the most exciting summer of his life. Following the Parkhead club’s successful completion of a Premiership and Scottish Cup double, Taylor tied the knot with his longtime partner Laura in Ibiza last month.
However, the left back quickly enlisted in the national team to get ready for the friendlies against Finland and Gibraltar. He made it to the final cut and flew to Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the team. The 26-year-old, who has been capped 13 times, did not play at Euro 2020 and is eager to play in the upcoming Group A matches against Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary.
