Paul Onuachu, a striker, is wanted by Southampton for €15 million this summer. Trabzonspor is in talks to extend Onuachu’s loan.
Their president, Ertuğrul Doğan, has disclosed that they are in discussions with Southampton on a permanent relocation. Since it became apparent that Onuachu wasn’t part of Southampton’s plans following their Premier League relegation last season, he has been spending this season on loan with the Turkish team. Despite playing in just 50% of the available minutes, he has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 20 league games for Trabzonspor, demonstrating his enormous success.
Although they are eager to sign the 29-year-old on a long-term contract, they have also been looking into the possibilities of getting him back on loan so they can save money. However, Southampton has long stated that they would prefer to have Onuachu removed from their roster permanently, particularly if they are not able to make it back to the Premier League this year. And Doğan has reaffirmed that, outlining their position in talks in his remarks about the possible transfer today.
Onuachu is seeking a €15 million transfer fee from Southampton, he stated. “We are still in communication. For Pepe and Orsic, we’ll wait for our coach’s report. Since February, we have been working on the transfer nonstop. “Four players have signed transfers as of right now. We have three more names to add to this. This week, we have an appointment with a football player.
