Daniel Jebbison linked with a move to Ipswich Town

Alan Nixon claims that the Tractor Boys are keeping an eye on Daniel Jebbison, a striker for Sheffield United, ahead of the summer transfer season.

The 20-year-old’s Bramall Lane contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and as he hasn’t signed a new agreement, McKenna’s team may put in a bid for the forward in the upcoming months.

Given that Jebbison is just 20 years old, a compensation cost would have to be paid, but Nixon has reported that Ipswich is ready to appear before a tribunal should they be successful in striking an agreement.

It wouldn’t be shocking if a tribunal is required because the Blades are probably eager to get a big compensation money for the teenage striker.

It would be dangerous to move Daniel Jebbison to Ipswich Town.

Given that the Tractor Boys would only have to pay a compensation fee, he is a young player who might not be too expensive, which makes the Suffolk-based team want to sign him.

Even if Ipswich must send him out on loan, this is a signing that would undoubtedly be profitable because, at 20, he is a highly-rated player who should only become better.

This strategy, nevertheless, may also have certain disadvantages.

First of all, Jebbison’s lack of playing time in competitive football this season is a serious blow to his career since it has prevented him from testing himself at the highest level and from improving as a football player.

Despite a good loan at Burton Albion, he hasn’t had a significant effect at the senior level in his career thus far, so an injury-plagued campaign was the last thing he needed.

He has, regrettably, had to cope with this; some contend that the Tractor Boys need a different kind of striker.

Both Hirst and Al-Hamadi, particularly the latter, are young enough to make significant progress and have a ton of potential.

In light of this, they might gain from having a more seasoned player like loanee Moore, who can contribute right away.

Whichever division the Tractor Boys are in the following season, they will need this short-term impact player.

Although Jebbison is a talented player, it would be a grave mistake to concentrate on signing him at the expense of a more experienced senior acquisition.
