This Spring, Senators’ Community Impact Continues

The Ottawa Senators have supported Chron’s and Colitis Canada by donating items and personal stories to the Martini Madness event.

The Ottawa Senators now prioritize community leadership 365 days a year to make sure their influence in the National Capital Region lasts well beyond the hockey season. The 17th Annual Martini Madness at Lago Bar and Grill on Thursday, May 2, is the most recent illustration of that. A variety of Senators’ experiences and memorabilia will be up for auction to benefit Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.

Over $600,000 has been raised for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada through the Martini Madness event. The organization is committed to innovative research in the fields of genetics, inflammation, and cell repair, with the goal of bringing these diseases one step closer to a cure.

The event will feature a speaker from the Senators’ extensive network: Island Bernard-Docker, the sister of Senator Jacob’s defenseman, who will discuss her experience living with Crohn’s illness.

A night in the owner’s suite for a 2024–25 Ottawa Senators game is one of the major experiences up for grabs, and the silent auction is one of the most thrilling parts of the evening.

Sports fans will be intrigued by the following additional auction items:

Package for the San Francisco 49ers game in 2024 that includes two 100-level Club Access seats and a Gold Bar Experience tasting whiskey

Eight-person dinner at Harmon’s Steakhouse with Jakob Chychrun, including wine

Wine and dinner for six at North and Navy with Marc Methot

jersey of Claude Giroux

jersey autographed by Brady Tkachuk

Brady Tkachuk’s stick from the game

A week-long stay in the stunning Bahamas at the Grand Isle Resort & Spa, valued at $8,000

The Senators’ ties to the event are further demonstrated by the fact that Island Bernard-Docker, the senator’s sister and the defenseman Jacob’s speaker, will be discussing a cause near and dear to her.

The night’s proceeds will support the 340,000 Canadians who suffer from colitis and Crohn’s disease. The event, which will feature live music over a wonderful food nicely paired by an array of handcrafted martinis, is still open to fans and business leaders.

The Senators’ dedication to being an important part of the local business community is demonstrated by their attendance at several events in May, such as the Gold Plate Dinner on Thursday, May 23, the BGC morning social on Thursday, May 16, Taste for Hope and Salut! 2024 on Wednesday, May 15, and An Evening in the Maritimes on Wednesday, May 1.
