Multiple league sources report that the Baltimore Ravens have upheld their dedication to enhancing depth in the trenches by adding Ja’Mion Franklin, a former Duke defensive tackle, as an undrafted free agent.
Franklin, a standout performer on Duke’s defensive line, recorded 40 total tackles, one sack, and one pass breakup for the Blue Devils in the previous season. Following an impressive showing on the field, Franklin caught the attention of NFL scouts and coaches during Duke’s Pro Day, notably completing 36 reps on the bench press. Hailing from Ridgely, Maryland, Franklin now has the opportunity to vie for a roster spot with his hometown Ravens, who made significant efforts to strengthen their defensive line during the draft weekend.
In addition to adding Franklin to their roster, the Ravens secured the services of All-Pro Justin Madubuike and Brent Urban by re-signing them during the free agency period earlier this spring.
